Sean's Blog : Sean's bar listed in Ireland's top 10 most unusual pubs

With over a thousand years of history Sean's bar has been included in Ireland's "Top 10 Most Unusual Pubs" by Ireland Before You Die.

The article describes how we earned the title from the Guinness Book of World Records as Irland's oldest pub, with the interior and decor remaining the same for hundreds of years, with the sawdust covered floor and open turf fire place. Sean's bar has been joined on the list with other great pubs throughout the country including The South Poll inn Co Kerry, McCarthys bar Fethard Co Tipperary and The Crosskeys Inn Co Antrim to mention just a few. Sean's bar now runs a free daily tour of pub together with a historic talk on the very origin of whiskey which began right in the Midland's of Irleand on Lough Ree and further down the magestic river Shannon at the ancient monastic settlement at Clonmacnoise.. So why not stop by and discover more about our great history. For more information on this article please follow the link below
