We bring you through the history of the pub itself and of the first Irish coffee ever made, in a fun and unique way and of course, you get to enjoy this classic drink as part of the experience.

We’re open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday & Saturdays.Sunday 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. We’re open every day except Christmas Day.

No, but there are lots of options nearby.

You’ll find us on Main Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, right beside the River Shannon and Athlone Castle.

Athlone is halfway between Dublin and Galway. The pub is a 5-minute walk from Athlone Train Station and close to the main bus stops. By car, take the M6 motorway and follow signs for Athlone Town Centre.

Yes, we have live music every night, including traditional Irish music.

No we do not take reservations and the pub is open on a walk in basis only. Only exception would be for large tour groups and corporate events etc

Yes, advance booking online is recommended to secure your place.

Castle Car Park and O’Connell Street Car Park are both less than a 5-minute walk from the pub.

Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by an adult until 7:00 p.m.

We don’t accept bookings for hen or stag parties.
