This is not your ordinary history talk; it’s a deep dive into Irish culture where humour, history and great drinks meet. We bring you through the history of the pub itself and of the first Irish coffee ever made, in a fun and unique way and of course, you get to enjoy this classic drink as part of the experience.
“You MUST go here and enjoy a point of Irish beer - or better yet, Sean’s Irish Whiskey! If you are lucky, you can also meet the current owner Timmy Donovan!”

“We had such a great time at Sean’s Bar on our first trip to Ireland… Everyone was so friendly and welcoming... Live music from a local Irish band added to the atmosphere in such a memorable way.”

“We made Athlone one of our stops just to come to Sean's Bar. I'm sure that many people come to see "Ireland's Oldest Pub," but the service is definitely something to keep coming for.”
Janet Saucedo
“What an awesome place. Quaint Pub and the interior is just what you would expect in a pub this old. Just the history of this place is amazing. Highly suggest going here if you’re in the area and if you’re not in the area then it needs to be on your list.”

“Pretty cool place and the history speaks for itself. Busy place so staff were very busy and still helpful and courteous. We drove an hour and a half just to go there. It was worth it. Oh! Their whiskey is pretty amazing!”
Bryan Hood
